Grilled up some Tuna Steaks (marinaded with a Lemon garlic sauce I picked up a Wegmans). Let marinade for about 2 hours
For the sea scallops I did a modified version of the recipe Chris used in an earlier post for his Tequila Lime Scallops
Recipe for Tequila lime marinade
- 2 TBS lime juice
- 2 TBS tequila (1800)
- 2 TBS olive oil
- 1 Tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
- Spoonful garlic
- Dash or two of black pepper
Marinade for 1 hour
Preheated Bessie to 500 degrees and oiled up the grate with olive oil to prevent sticking
Grilled tuna steaks for 3 minutes each side and scallops about 3-4 minutes over direct heat. Skewered scallops to prevent them from falling through grate
Both were quite good. Tuna could have been cooked a but less but was still good.
Tasty meal to end the weekend.
Bessie was quite busy this weekend and so were we. Probably going to give her a rest until Friday.
